GCI is an investment firm that takes substantial equity positions in early-stage and growth-stage private companies across the technology sector and a variety of other commercial industries. The firm provides patient capital alongside professional services, delivering strategic planning and financial controls to build enduring partnerships rather than focusing strictly on rapid liquidity events. Currently managed by executive leaders including William Schleicher, Guy Comer, and Stephanie Comer, the organization maintains a diverse investment portfolio featuring recognizable technology startups such as Citylitics, Montage, and Mobilize Networks. In recent transaction activity, GCI leadership co-invested in a $15 million Series A capital funding round for Mobilize Networks and subsequently led a $500,000 seed financing round for HyperNatural in February 2026. GCI was originally established as a private investment vehicle in 1986 by former Lands' End founder Gary Comer.
