Metastable Materials develops proprietary recycling technology for lithium-ion batteries. Its Integrated Carbothermal Reduction™ process cleanly extracts valuable metals from all types of spent cells and waste. Founded in 2021 by IIT Roorkee alumni Shubham Vishvakarma, Saurav Goyal, and Manikumar Uppala, Metastable Materials stemmed from recognizing traditional battery recycling's environmental inefficiencies. Their vision was to pioneer a zero-waste, low-carbon process, creating a circular economy for battery materials by effectively reclaiming critical components.

Metastable Materials offers comprehensive waste management for lithium-ion batteries, serving industries needing responsible disposal and sustainable sourcing. Customers utilize the extracted metals, meeting international commodity standards, for new battery manufacturing or specialized alloys.
