ING Ventures is the corporate venture capital arm of ING Group, based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, focused on investing in fintech startups to accelerate ING's innovation strategy. The fund operates with an evergreen model, internally funded by ING Group, prioritizing strategic benefits over purely financial returns rather than solely financial gains. It manages a €350 million fund with a portfolio of 30 startups, actively building strategic partnerships with companies demonstrating market traction, primarily in regions where ING operates or plans to expand. The fund previously saw leadership from figures such as Benoit Legrand, former CEO and global head of Fintech, and its activities were integrated into ING Neo in 2020. Recently, ING Ventures has paused new investments to concentrate on managing its existing portfolio of 30 startups, following the departure of co-leaders. The organization was established in 2017.
