Kistefos

Kistefos operates the Kistefos Museum and Sculpture Park in Jevnaker, Norway, transforming a historic wood pulp mill site into an industrial museum, contemporary art exhibition spaces, and one of Europe's largest sculpture parks. The park features 50 sculptures by artists such as Olafur Eliasson, Anish Kapoor, and Yayoi Kusama, while the Christen Sveaas Art Foundation, established in October 2019, manages over 850 artworks. This privately owned investment company and nonprofit art foundation is primarily funded by Christen Sveaas, who also donated half of his private art collection to the foundation in 2020. The organization preserves industrial heritage alongside its contemporary art focus, attracting visitors interested in arts, culture, and tourism. The original A/S Kistefos Træsliberi was founded in 1889 by Anders Sveaas, with the modern Kistefos Museum established in 1996 by Christen Sveaas.
