Globalive Capital

Globalive Capital is a Toronto-based venture capital firm that invests in early- and mid-stage technology and telecommunications companies across Canada and the United States. The firm operates as the primary investment arm of the broader Globalive telecommunications group, funding its operations through prior corporate exits. This capital base was significantly expanded following the $1.6 billion sale of its affiliated wireless network operator, Wind Mobile, to Shaw Communications in 2016. The firm currently maintains an active portfolio of more than 125 private technology enterprises, holding equity stakes in recognizable startups such as Stackadapt, Zoocasa, and Xanadu. Brice Scheschuk was appointed as chief executive officer to lead the firm's ongoing investment strategy in 2015. Globalive Capital was launched in 2013 by founder and current chairman Anthony Lacavera, who originally established the parent organization in 1998.
