GapMinder

Gapminder Foundation is a Stockholm, Sweden-based non-profit organization that develops interactive data visualizations and educational tools to promote a fact-based understanding of global social, economic, and environmental statistics. The operating foundation provides free software, teaching materials, and videos designed to clarify complex public data, including progress toward the United Nations Millennium Development Goals. In March 2007, the technology conglomerate Google acquired the organization's proprietary Trendalyzer software, which animates statistical data over time. Operating without political or religious affiliations, the entity funds its global development initiatives through independent donations, institutional grants, and commercial proceeds from related projects. The organization further expanded its educational reach through the April 2018 publication of the book Factfulness, which addresses common misconceptions about global trends. Gapminder Foundation was founded in 2005 by Ola Rosling, Anna Rosling Rönnlund, and Hans Rosling.
