The firm provides capital to media, technology, and consumer product businesses focused on entrepreneurship, innovation, and domestic re-industrialization within the conservative-leaning parallel economy. The organization initially targeted a $150 million inaugural fund and has since reportedly reached $1 billion in total assets under management. The firm led a $15 million seed investment into the Tucker Carlson Network, a digital media venture operated by Last Country alongside co-founder Neil Patel. The executive leadership team expanded in late 2024 when Donald Trump Junior officially joined the organization as a partner following the presidential election. 1789 Capital was founded in 2022 by Omeed Malik, Christopher Buskirk, and Rebekah Mercer.
