Huron River Ventures

Huron River Ventures is an early-stage venture capital firm investing in technology-enabled companies across agriculture, energy, transportation, and software sectors, primarily supporting Midwest entrepreneurs from its Ann Arbor and Grand Rapids, Michigan bases. Focusing on companies using cutting-edge technology to reinvent traditional industries, its initial fund, Huron River Ventures I, raised $16 million, including $6 million from the State of Michigan's Accelerator Fund Program, and invested in more than 20 early-stage companies. These portfolio companies subsequently secured more than $200 million in follow-on investments from other investors. The firm's leadership includes founding partner Ryan Waddington and principal Noah Yates. Co-founder Tim Streit, who also launched Grand Ventures, remains a partner for a selection of portfolio companies. Huron River Ventures was founded in 2010 by Tim Streit and Ryan Waddington.
