FAW Group is a state-owned automotive manufacturer based in Changchun, China, that produces passenger cars, buses, and light, medium, and heavy-duty commercial trucks for domestic and international markets. The enterprise operates globally across more than 70 countries, employing approximately 133,000 people worldwide while generating reported revenues of $109.4 billion. With total historical global sales exceeding seven million vehicles, the company maintains a current annual sales volume of over one million units. To expand its manufacturing capabilities and market reach, the corporation established strategic joint ventures with global automakers including Volkswagen and Toyota. Its commercial vehicle division, FAW Jiefang, recently reached a significant production milestone by manufacturing its nine millionth truck at the newly operational 6DV super factory. The organization was originally established as First Automobile Works in 1953 with assistance from the Soviet Union.
