Wouter Joustra

Wouter Joustra is a General Partner at Forbion, where he manages deal origination, divestment strategies, and portfolio management for the Growth Opportunities Funds. His impressive investment track record features board roles at Gyroscope Therapeutics, which was acquired by Novartis for up to $1.5 billion, and VectivBio, which Ironwood purchased for $1.2 billion. He currently serves on the board of the Forbion European Acquisition SPAC vehicle and acts as a board observer for NewAmsterdam Pharma. Before joining Forbion as a Partner in 2019, he worked as a Senior Trader and Executive Board member for the life sciences franchise at the European boutique investment bank Kempen. Holding both a master's and bachelor's degree in business from the University of Groningen, Joustra focuses his expertise on late-stage life sciences companies and growth equity investments across the European healthcare market.
