Wouter Gort

Wouter Gort is a Partner and the Nomads Lead at Hummingbird Ventures, based in the Netherlands. In this capacity, he manages the firm's fund-of-funds initiative and oversees early-stage technology investments ranging from $500,000 to $15.0 million across the pre-seed through Series B stages. Prior to joining Hummingbird in June 2021, Gort served as a founding partner at Greyhound Capital and as a Managing Director at Atomico, focusing on portfolio value creation. He previously founded The Big Search, a leading European executive search firm, and earned a Master of Science in Business Administration from the Rotterdam School of Management at Erasmus University in 1999. With over a decade of venture capital experience, his current investment focus spans hardware, consumer health, blockchain, biotechnology, software as a service, and financial technology across the European and North American markets.
