William Schmidt

William Schmidt is a General Partner at Cultivation Capital based in Huntleigh, Missouri, where he directs the firm's healthcare and life sciences investment strategy. With over 30 years of specialized industry experience, he previously co-founded, built, and successfully sold LDM Group, a digital health software enterprise focused on patient behavioral adherence. Prior to transitioning into venture capital, Schmidt held senior executive leadership positions at Catalina Health Resource and United States Surgical Corporation, a prominent medical device manufacturer now operating under Medtronic. Leveraging his extensive operational background, he currently serves on the boards of directors for nine portfolio companies, including Euphrates Vascular, ImageMoverMD, Fifth Eye, and Orbita. Outside of his corporate board roles, he is also involved with the St. Louis Zoo Association. Schmidt's current professional focus centers on scaling early-stage medical device and healthcare IT startups.
