William Powers

William Powers is a Partner at Kairos Ventures based in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, where he focuses on venture capital investments. Prior to his current role in the startup ecosystem, he built a background in institutional finance and asset management across several major financial institutions. He began his financial career operating as a Mortgage Specialist at Salomon Brothers before advancing to Bear Stearns, where he served as a Senior Director and a member of the Fixed Income Management Committee. Following these positions, Powers joined PIMCO to serve as both a Portfolio Manager and a Managing Director, overseeing institutional investment strategies. He later transitioned to alternative investments as the Managing Partner at The Strand Partners. Currently, his primary focus is utilizing his decades of fixed income and portfolio management experience to identify and support early-stage companies.
