Vivek Kumar

Vivek Kumar is the Co-Founder of PrimeVault, a Y Combinator-backed crypto custody startup based in India. Founded in 2022 and selected for the Y Combinator S22 batch, the company develops secure, cross-chain digital asset management solutions utilizing trusted execution environments for institutional clients. Prior to launching PrimeVault, Kumar served as a Tech Lead at Rippling, where he engineered core payroll, payments, and compliance products for the human resources platform. During his tenure at the enterprise software firm, he managed critical financial systems responsible for processing multi-billion-dollar employee and tax payments globally. Earlier in his career, he held technical engineering roles at Directi, building foundational expertise in enterprise SaaS architecture and scalable backend systems. His current focus centers on bridging traditional enterprise security with decentralized blockchain interoperability to advance Web3 infrastructure and digital asset custody.
