Todd Johnson

Todd Johnson is the Managing Partner at Unshackled Ventures and is currently based in New York City, New York. Prior to his current venture capital role, he served as the Founder and CEO of Heap, a SaaS analytics platform that reached over $50 million in annual recurring revenue before being acquired by HubSpot. His entrepreneurial background also includes founding OnboardIQ, which was subsequently acquired by Dice, and holding early product management positions at SlideShare prior to its acquisition by LinkedIn. Johnson holds an MBA from Vanderbilt University and recently helped Unshackled Ventures raise more than $100 million for its third fund in 2024 to support a portfolio of over fifty startups. He currently focuses on pre-seed and seed investments across artificial intelligence, developer tools, and productivity software, leveraging his operational expertise to scale early-stage technology companies.
