Tim Schigel

Tim Schigel is the Managing Partner at Refinery Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Cincinnati, Ohio. Before launching the firm in 2017, he served as the founding fund manager for Cintrifuse, where he successfully raised and managed a $57 million syndicate fund to support regional innovation initiatives. Earlier in his career, Schigel founded ShareThis, a pioneer in social sharing technology that grew to track consumer behavior across more than three million publishers and reached over one billion users globally. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and has served as an active board member for various emerging technology startups. Schigel currently focuses on bridging the gap between seed and Series A funding for hyper-growth technology companies operating primarily within the Midwest ecosystem.
