Tim Guleri is a Managing Partner at Sierra Ventures based in San Francisco, California. Before joining the venture capital firm in 2001, he founded Scopus Technology, which completed an initial public offering in 1995, and Octane Software, which Epiphany acquired for $3.2 billion. As an early-stage investor, he has guided multiple portfolio companies to significant liquidity events, including Sourcefire's $2.7 billion sale to Cisco and Shape Security's $1 billion acquisition by F5. He also backed MakeMyTrip through its public listing and currently holds board seats at Astronomer, Fabric, and Phenom while investing from Sierra Ventures' $265 million thirteenth fund. Holding an MS in Robotics from Virginia Tech and a BA from PEC University of Technology in India, Guleri focuses his current investments on seed and Series A enterprise software, artificial intelligence, and infrastructure startups.
