Tiberiu Dima is the Managing Director of BASF Venture Capital and Head of Country Cluster East Europe for BASF SE, based in Ukraine. In his venture capital role, he oversees an evergreen fund of approximately €250 million, managing an active portfolio of 49 companies. Dima directs strategic investments in sustainability and digitization technologies, recently leading a $14 million seed round for DePoly and participating in a $13.8 million Series A for Phomera. His broader investment scope includes backing industrial technology startups such as LanzaTech and ph7 Technologies. Prior to his current executive positions, he served as the Country Manager of Crop Protection for BASF across Ukraine, Moldova, and the Caucasus region, a role he assumed in December 2013. Dima currently focuses on bridging regional corporate operations with global venture capital investments to advance sustainable chemical innovations.
