Thomas Ball

Thomas Ball is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Next Coast Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Austin, Texas. Before establishing the firm in 2015, he spent a decade as a General Partner at Austin Ventures and previously served as the CEO and Founder of Razorgator and eCoupons, which was acquired by Lifeminders. During his tenure at Austin Ventures, Ball invested in prominent technology companies including RetailMeNot, Bazaarvoice, and Jigsaw.com, which was later purchased by Salesforce. At Next Coast Ventures, he oversees a portfolio that targets 20 to 25 investments over a three-to-four-year period, selecting from more than 600 entrepreneurs reviewed annually. Holding an MBA from Stanford GSB and a BS from the University of Florida, Ball currently focuses on early-stage technology startups that demonstrate strong market fit and the potential for tenfold returns.
