Ted Kummert

Ted Kummert is a Venture Partner at Madrona Venture Group based in Seattle, where he evaluates new technology investments and advises portfolio companies. Prior to his current role, he spent over 23 years at Microsoft, ultimately serving as Corporate Vice President of the Data Platform Group overseeing the development of SQL Server and Windows Azure Data Services. Following his tenure at Microsoft, Kummert held executive product and engineering leadership positions at scale-stage technology companies, including serving as Chief Product Development Officer at UiPath. During his operational career, he guided both UiPath and Apptio through their respective initial public offerings by scaling their enterprise software platforms. Today, his primary focus centers on leveraging his extensive product development expertise to support early-stage enterprise software, cloud computing, and big data startups through their critical scaling and growth phases.
