Sim Blaustein

Sim Blaustein is a Partner at Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments (BDMI) based in Berlin, Germany. Prior to assuming his current role, he served as a Principal at BDMI and held strategic positions at Bertelsmann Asia Investments following his graduation with an MBA from INSEAD and a BA from Brown University. With over a decade of venture capital experience, he currently manages an active portfolio of more than 20 investments, including the successful virtual events platform Hopin. In early 2025, Blaustein led BDMI's investment in the AI-driven content platform StoryProtocol and co-authored a highly detailed industry report on creator economy trends. Additionally, he was announced as a mentor for the Techstars Entertainment Accelerator starting in January 2026. His current investment focus primarily centers on scaling early-stage opportunities across digital media, consumer internet, gaming, and entertainment technology.
