Scott Tobin

Scott Tobin is a Senior Partner at Battery Ventures based in Tel Aviv, Israel. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from Brandeis University, he joined the firm in 1997 and has since directed technology investments across the United States, Israel, and Europe. His current active portfolio includes board positions at companies such as HiBob, BigPanda, UBQ Materials, and Kodiak, where he has served as a director since September 2021. Tobin has overseen numerous successful exits throughout his 27-year venture career, including early investments in Affirm, Akamai, and ITA Software, which was subsequently acquired by Google. His consistent investment performance and regional leadership have earned him multiple appearances on the Forbes Midas List of top global venture capitalists. Today, his primary investment focus spans application software, enterprise infrastructure, materials science, and financial technology sectors.
