Scott Paul is a Partner at Convoi Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm based in Utah. A serial entrepreneur who sold his third technology company in 2014, he subsequently transitioned into angel investing and completed more than 70 personal deals in the regional startup sector before 2022. In 2022, he co-founded Convoi Ventures alongside Trent Mano to manage an $8 million rolling pre-seed fund dedicated exclusively to supporting early-stage Utah-based founders. His investment portfolio features emerging companies such as Factor, an educational technology spinout from Lambda School, and Lovage Labs, a web3 startup associated with Y Combinator. Prior to institutional investing, he operated Convoi Events to organize networking trips for local technology entrepreneurs. Paul currently focuses on providing initial pre-seed capital to SaaS and edtech startups while actively syndicating deals within the regional angel ecosystem.
