Ryan Orbuch

Ryan Orbuch is a Partner at Lowercarbon Capital, where he leads the venture capital firm's investments in carbon removal technologies. Before joining the firm in November 2021, he served as the Procurement Lead for Stripe Climate, initiating a corporate carbon removal program and recruiting approximately 20 scientific expert reviewers to evaluate portfolio companies. During his tenure at Stripe, Orbuch developed strategic partnerships with organizations including Deep Science Ventures and presented his technical expertise at the National Academy of Sciences. His earlier career includes roles as a Product Manager and as a co-founder of software startups Volley and Finish, the latter of which won an Apple Design Award between 2013 and 2015. Orbuch leverages his background in software engineering to focus on scaling early-stage climate tech ventures across direct air capture, mineralization, and ocean alkalinity enhancement.
