Ryan Laverty, originally from Rhode Island, is the co-founder and president of Arist, a text message corporate learning platform. Before establishing the software company in April 2019, he served as the president of eTower, a student entrepreneurship community at Babson College, where he authored the foundational white paper on SMS education. He also previously operated an independent public speaking coaching business dedicated to improving the presentation skills of corporate managers and senior executives. Under his leadership, Arist has secured $16.7 million in total funding, including a $12 million Series A round, from investors like Y Combinator, and the software currently delivers microlearning training programs to dozens of Fortune 500 enterprises such as HP, Novartis, and Exxon Mobil. Laverty currently focuses on expanding the platform's artificial intelligence capabilities to further streamline organizational talent development and corporate employee training programs.
