Ron Cao is the Founding Partner of Sky9 Capital, an early-stage technology venture capital firm with offices in Singapore, Shanghai, and San Francisco. With over 24 years of investment experience across Silicon Valley and Asia, he previously served as a founding partner of Lightspeed China Partners and a partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners, launching their regional operations in 2006. Earlier in his professional career, Cao worked as a Managing Director at KLM Capital and held corporate positions at Motorola, Goldman Sachs, and Intel. His extensive investment portfolio contains early-stage investments in major technology enterprises, such as ByteDance, Meituan, and Pinduoduo, alongside notable exits like Opulan's acquisition by Qualcomm. Recognized as a 2013 World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, Cao currently focuses on funding emerging companies across the artificial intelligence, semiconductor, Web3, and deep technology sectors.
