Peter Vesterbacka

Peter Vesterbacka is an investor and partner at HV Capital and a board member at Slush, based in Helsinki, Finland. He previously served as the Chief Marketing Officer at Rovio Entertainment from 2005 to 2016, where he scaled the Angry Birds franchise to over three billion downloads and a peak pre-IPO valuation of $9 billion. As a co-founder of Slush, Vesterbacka helped grow the conference into Europe's largest startup event with more than 20,000 annual attendees, while simultaneously building a portfolio of over 50 early-stage investments through firms like Lifeline Ventures. His recent activity includes joining the board of education platform OppFi in 2023 and investing in climate technology startup Carbonaide in 2024. An alumnus of the Hanken School of Economics, Vesterbacka focuses on accelerating early-stage ventures within the education technology and sustainable climate sectors.
