Peter Carlsson is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Northvolt, an enterprise established in 2016 to build Europe's largest lithium-ion battery manufacturing facility. Prior to launching this company, he served as the Chief Procurement Officer and Head of Supply Chain at Tesla Motors until his departure in 2015. His earlier career includes a tenure as Chief Procurement Officer at NXP, where he directed global purchasing and outsourcing operations. Before joining NXP, he accumulated thirteen years of operational experience across Ericsson and Sony Ericsson, serving as the latter's Chief Procurement Officer starting in 2005. Educated in Sweden with a master's degree in production and quality control, he also operates as an active investor in the technology sector. Carlsson currently focuses on scaling clean energy infrastructure and battery manufacturing to support the transition toward sustainable automotive supply chains.
