Peter Berg

Peter Berg is currently a Venture Partner at Communitas Capital, an early-stage venture capital fund. Previously, he served as a Managing Partner at M12, Microsoft's venture fund, directing investments in applied artificial intelligence across the fintech, retail, and B2B software sectors. Before joining M12, Berg led Visa Ventures for over six years, notably executing the firm's initial blockchain investment in Chain, which subsequently powered the multibillion-dollar Visa B2B Connect cross-border payments network. His entrepreneurial background includes running strategy and business development as a founder at Very Good Security, alongside building consumer products at Joby, where his Gorillacam application achieved more than three million downloads. Holding undergraduate and master's degrees in statistics and computational science from Stanford University, Berg leverages his technical expertise to advise early-stage companies and develop new applications within the agentic commerce space.
