Paul Arnold

Paul Arnold is the Founder and Managing Partner at Switch Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm. Before establishing his firm, he advised technology leaders at McKinsey, helped scale AppDirect as an early executive, and launched a proof-of-concept fund called Arnold Capital in 2013 to back over a dozen startups. Through Switch Ventures, Arnold has invested in numerous startups, achieving dozens of exits and backing several unicorns across sectors like insurtech, real estate software, and media. Notable portfolio companies include PolicyGenius, Luxury Presence, which powers over $35 billion in real estate listings, and The Athletic, which was acquired by The New York Times for $550 million. Recently, his early investment in SmarterDx resulted in a 2025 acquisition that fully returned the firm's third fund. Today, Arnold focuses on providing hands-on support to early-stage founders.
