Patrick Zhang

Patrick Zhang currently leads and manages biotechnology and healthcare-related investments at Horizons Ventures. In this capacity, he oversees the firm's life sciences portfolio and serves on the board of directors for several portfolio companies, including Owlstone Medical and Juvena Therapeutics. Prior to his transition into venture capital and institutional investment management, Zhang worked as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley. During his tenure there, he focused on executing complex capital raising initiatives and cross-border mergers and acquisitions across the energy and financial institution sectors. His formal academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Business School. Zhang combines his technical engineering foundation with extensive corporate finance experience to evaluate and support emerging early-stage healthcare and biotechnology enterprises.
