Patrick Chun

Patrick Chun is a General Partner at Gradient Ventures, Google's AI-focused venture fund, based in San Francisco, California. He manages over $300 million in artificial intelligence investments, directing capital toward enterprise software, developer tools, and machine learning startups, including notable portfolio companies like Character.ai and Replit. In March 2025, he led a $100 million Series B investment in an AI coding platform and recently published his comprehensive investment thesis on industry scaling challenges. Prior to venture capital, he held product leadership and engineering roles at Google and worked extensively as a strategic management consultant.
