Patrick Chase

Patrick Chase is a Managing Director at Redpoint Ventures, where he leads early-stage Seed and Series A investments across the technology sector. Before joining the venture capital firm as a summer intern in 2018, he worked as a senior software engineer on LinkedIn's machine learning team, developing and optimizing content ranking algorithms. He earned an MBA from Stanford University and officially transitioned into his full-time investing career, earning a promotion to his current leadership role after nearly seven years with the firm. Leveraging his engineering background, Chase has led or played an instrumental role in financing rounds for several emerging enterprise technology startups, including early investments in Hex and Modal. Today, his primary professional focus remains centered on identifying and supporting technical founders who are building innovative artificial intelligence, data infrastructure, and open-source software platforms.
