Bart Stephens

Bart Stephens is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Blockchain Capital and Managing Director at Stephens Investment Management, based in San Francisco, California. Since establishing Blockchain Capital in 2013, he has scaled the firm to $1.8 billion in assets under management, executing over 130 investments in prominent digital asset companies including Coinbase and Kraken. Under his leadership, the firm closed $580 million across two new funds in September 2023 and led a $15 million Series A for Bluesky in October 2024. Before transitioning to the cryptocurrency sector, Stephens served as Executive Vice President of Venture Capital at Ivanhoe Capital Corporation, worked in corporate development at E*TRADE, and co-founded Oncology.com. He holds a Political Science degree from Princeton University and dedicates his career to financing early-stage infrastructure within the emerging technology, decentralized finance, and Web3 ecosystems.
