Mike Smith

Mike Smith is the Co-Founder and General Partner at Footwork, an early-stage venture capital firm based in San Francisco, California. He launched the firm in April 2021 with a $175 million fund to lead Seed and Series A investments ranging from $1 million to $15 million in consumer technology, artificial intelligence, and software startups. Previously, Smith served as President and Chief Operating Officer at Stitch Fix, joining as the fourth employee and guiding the company through its 2017 initial public offering, and earlier operated as Chief Operating Officer at Walmart.com where he scaled a $5 billion division. He currently holds corporate governance roles on the public boards of Ulta Beauty and MillerKnoll. Drawing on his extensive executive experience, Smith focuses on providing operational expertise to founders building high-growth consumer and enterprise businesses.
