Mike Kerns

Mike Kerns is a Co-founder and Partner at The Chernin Group, where he leads investment efforts across the digital media, sports, and consumer technology sectors. Before joining the firm in 2015, he served as a Senior Vice President at Yahoo from 2012 to 2014, following the company's acquisition of Citizen Sports, a sports technology startup he co-founded and led as CEO. His early career included roles as an Associate at Angel Investors LP alongside Ron Conway and as Chief of Staff at Steinberg and Moorad Sports Management. Leveraging his extensive operational background, he currently holds board director positions at recognizable consumer brands like Food52, Funko, MeatEater, Sofar Sounds, and Surfline. Kerns previously served on the boards of Barstool Sports and Crunchyroll, and he holds a bachelor's degree in history from the University of California, Los Angeles.
