Michael Murphy

Michael Murphy is the Founder, Managing Partner, and Chief Executive Officer of Rosecliff Ventures, an alternative asset management firm. He began his professional career working in fixed income at Oppenheimer before establishing his own independent investment banking firm and a long-short hedge fund. After operating as a prominent early-stage angel investor in the technology sector, Murphy officially founded Rosecliff in 2015, where he currently chairs the Management Committee and co-heads the Investment Committee. He actively serves as a board director for several notable portfolio companies, including SquareFoot, Fordays, Tortoise, and Cargo. In 2021, he launched Rosecliff Acquisition Corp as a public special purpose acquisition company on the Nasdaq, which subsequently agreed to merge with the corporate ground transportation software firm Gett Inc. Murphy maintains a primary investment focus on scaling high-growth technology and financial services enterprises.
