Mark Maloney

Mark Maloney is the Co-Founder, Managing Director, and Chief Compliance Officer at Paladin Capital Group, based in Washington, D.C. Alongside co-founder Michael Steed, he helps oversee a venture capital firm that manages over $1.5 billion in committed capital across more than 65 global investments. The firm typically deploys initial checks ranging from $50,000 to $5 million, recently participating in a $58 million Series A funding round for Constructive Bio and a $12 million Series A for Aralez Bio. Prior to establishing Paladin in 2001, he spent over 18 years in executive financial services roles, specializing in product development, and currently serves as a board member at FPMI Solutions, Inc. Today, Maloney focuses his investment strategy on seed and Series A rounds for companies developing cybersecurity, digital infrastructure resilience, and dual-use technologies for both commercial and government markets.
