Mark Lockareff

Mark Lockareff is a Managing Director at Indicator Ventures based in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Economics from Stanford University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Prior to venture capital, Lockareff served as Vice President of Product at Matterport, contributing to its 2021 initial public offering, and held leadership roles at Zymergen and Tellium. Since joining Indicator Ventures in 2023, he has managed early-stage investments across enterprise software, artificial intelligence, and deep technology, building a portfolio of over 50 startup companies. Recently, he participated in a $27 million Series A funding round for climate technology firm Carbon Capture Inc. in February 2025. His current focus bridges product engineering with venture investing to scale emerging technology enterprises.
