Mark Levin

Mark Levin is a Partner at Third Rock Ventures based in Boston, Massachusetts. He began his nearly 50-year career as an engineer and project leader at Eli Lilly and Genentech before co-founding the life sciences practice at Mayfield Fund. Levin subsequently served as the founding CEO of several biotechnology firms, including a 12-year tenure at Millennium Pharmaceuticals, and has helped establish more than 70 companies that produced over 20 marketed products. At Third Rock Ventures, he has contributed to raising $3.8 billion and investing in over 60 early-stage life sciences startups. He holds a master's degree in chemical and biochemical engineering and currently serves as the Working Chair of the youth entrepreneurship nonprofit organization, The Possible Zone. His current focus remains on forming and strategizing early-stage biotechnology investments to develop breakthrough personalized medicine therapies.
