Mark Brooks

Mark Brooks is the Managing Director of FMC Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of FMC Corporation, based in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. Before joining FMC to expand its portfolio of five agtech startups, he was an investor at Syngenta Group Ventures and led mergers and acquisitions at the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. At the AICPA, he established the accounting industry's first corporate venturing program, building on his early experience co-founding two startups, including one that reached the top three percent of internet traffic in 2000. He began his career as a climatologist developing agricultural tools and holds a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology and a Master of Business Administration from North Carolina State University. Brooks currently focuses his investment strategy on emerging agricultural technologies, specifically targeting biologicals, precision agriculture, climate tech, and automation.
