John Clarke is the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Algofi, a decentralized lending protocol built on the Algorand blockchain, based in New York. Bringing over eight years of professional experience in the financial industry, he previously worked as a quantitative trader at Citadel and Old Mission, alongside a role as a portfolio manager at MKP Capital Management. Earlier in his career, Clarke served as a data analyst at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for one year and held research assistant positions at Columbia University in 2013 and the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in 2015. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Clarke currently focuses his efforts on developing algorithmic trading solutions and decentralized finance applications for his firm, which operates with up to ten employees.
