John Cheng

John Cheng is the Founder and CEO of PlayAbly, a gamification and brand engagement platform based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Prior to establishing PlayAbly in 2023, he co-founded Playnomics, an artificial intelligence platform designed to predict player behavior in video games. Following the acquisition of Playnomics by Unity Technologies in 2014, Cheng joined the acquiring company's executive team to lead the Unity Analytics division. Under his leadership, the analytics platform scaled to provide data and machine learning solutions to more than 20,000 game developers, ultimately reaching over one billion players globally. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Princeton University. Cheng currently focuses on leveraging his background in predictive analytics and gaming technology to develop artificial intelligence solutions for consumer brand loyalty.
