Jason Meltzer

Jason Meltzer is a Los Angeles based tech entrepreneur and the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Papaya Pet Care, a modernized veterinary clinic network established in 2021. Prior to this venture, he cofounded the pioneering on demand dog walking application Wag! in 2014, helping create the digital pet care marketplace model. During his tenure, Meltzer helped scale the startup nationally and secure over $300 million in venture capital funding from prominent investors like SoftBank, leading to the company's eventual public market debut via a SPAC merger in August 2022. Before entering the technology startup space, he gained foundational industry experience by owning and operating Surfdog LA, a traditional local pet care and dog walking business. Today, his primary focus centers on expanding Papaya Pet Care by successfully opening multiple physical veterinary facilities across Southern California.
