Edwin Olson is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of May Mobility, Inc., based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He oversees a team of 200 employees operating autonomous shuttle services across seven cities worldwide, having completed over 275,000 revenue-generating rides. Before launching the mobility startup, he spent over two decades advancing self-driving technology, including developing autonomous vehicles for Ford Motor Company and co-leading initiatives at the Toyota Research Institute. Olson earned a PhD in electrical engineering and computer science from MIT, where he participated in a historic 2007 autonomous driving competition and specialized in robot mapping. Under his executive leadership, the company recently launched an autonomous vehicle pilot program in Atlanta in partnership with Lyft. His current professional focus remains on deploying autonomous urban shuttles to provide accessible first- and last-mile transportation solutions in underserved communities.
