Dmitry Alexin

Dmitry Alexin is the CEO and Founder of Handoff, an artificial intelligence platform for construction estimation, based in Austin, Texas. At Handoff, he leads a dedicated team of approximately 20 employees who are developing automated operational software tailored specifically for residential remodelers and commercial contractors. Before launching his current venture, Alexin founded 1build, a construction technology startup that participated in the Y Combinator Winter 2020 cohort and successfully secured $14 million in venture funding. His earlier career includes serving as a founding employee and head of the machine learning team at CloudKitchens, alongside quantitative analysis roles at a prominent global macro hedge fund and the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Educated at Harvard Business School, Alexin currently focuses on applying machine learning and quantitative finance principles to modernize the real estate and construction sectors.
