Chaz Englander is the Co-founder of ModeML, an artificial intelligence and machine learning startup based in London, United Kingdom. Prior to his current venture, he served as the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Fat Llama, a peer-to-peer circular economy and consumer rental marketplace that he originally launched in 2017. Under his executive leadership, the company secured several multi-million dollar venture capital funding rounds before being acquired by Swedish competitor Hygglo in August 2022 to form Europe's largest rental platform. Englander is a two-time alumnus of the Y Combinator accelerator program, having participated in the Summer 2017 batch with his first company and the Winter 2024 batch with ModeML. After pursuing an early education in mathematics and physics, his professional career focus has remained centered on developing consumer technology marketplaces and scaling early-stage artificial intelligence software startups.
