Benjamin Encz

Benjamin Encz is the Co-Founder and CEO of Ashby, a recruiting and talent management platform based in San Francisco, California. Under his leadership, the company has scaled to serve over 1,300 customers, including OpenAI and Stripe, and secured a $30 million Series C funding round led by Lachy Groom in May 2024. Prior to launching Ashby, he served as Director of Engineering at PlanGrid, where he managed technical teams before the construction software firm's $875 million acquisition by Autodesk in 2018. Earlier in his career, he held software engineering positions at Make School and TellApart, which was later acquired by Twitter, after studying computer science at the Technical University of Munich. Encz currently focuses on expanding Ashby's enterprise software suite while leveraging his extensive background in engineering leadership to drive product development within the human resources technology sector.
