Alex Ray

Alex Ray is a Principal at Pioneer Square Labs in Seattle, Washington, where he works across the firm's startup studio and venture capital fund. Working directly with Managing Director Greg Gottesman, he focuses on building and investing in early-stage technology companies that leverage machine learning and generative artificial intelligence. Before joining Pioneer Square Labs, Ray worked in the Leap business building practice at McKinsey & Company, launching new startups for large corporate clients, and served as an Associate at Oxbow Ventures in Mississippi. As a full-stack developer and two-time entrepreneur, he previously founded Zyn Careers and the software startup Parade, which participated in the Y Combinator Summer 2020 batch. His current professional focus centers on applying frontier technologies to accessible consumer and enterprise applications through both direct venture capital investments and hands-on studio incubation.
