Al Yang

Al Yang is the cofounder and Chief Executive Officer of SafeBase, an enterprise cybersecurity and compliance automation platform based in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. Prior to establishing SafeBase in 2020, he cofounded Medumo, a specialized health technology startup that was successfully acquired by Philips Health in July 2019. Under his executive leadership, SafeBase has scaled operations to serve more than 500 corporate customers, including several Fortune 500 enterprises, by streamlining access to sensitive security posture information. The software company expanded its core offerings with the Trust Exchange platform in 2024 and secured a $33 million Series B funding round that same year, bringing its total venture capital raised to approximately $55 million. Yang's entrepreneurial background centers on building scalable B2B SaaS organizations that resolve complex vendor assessment workflows and enterprise compliance bottlenecks.
